The German Institute for Standardization, DIN, and EDU4Standards.eu are glad to announce that the European research project "EDU4Standards" will be the special guest, presenting on the second day of the event. This session will primarily be conducted in English, offering a unique opportunity to delve into cutting-edge standardisation education.
Standardisation represents a civil society system of participation and co-design. Echoing the principles of democracy, it creates a structure where individuals can engage in specific topics and shape their respective fields. Much like the social rule-making found in politics, technical rule-making (standardisation) also has its European (CEN/CENELEC) and international (ISO/IEC) associations.
Anyone can contribute to writing standards – be it students, new colleagues, association members, or customers. Participants could collaborate with others who offer diverse perspectives on the same issue, and together, in a committee, define the necessary technical requirements through consensus.
The organisers cordially invite participants to explore this fascinating universe and integrate it into their teaching or knowledge transfer activities. Rest assured, they won't have to navigate this alone – support will be provided throughout.
