In this section you can find ways to get involved with our project, including opportunities to help co-create the European Standardisation Students’ Association (ESSA), participate in upcoming focus groups and events, hear from fellow students about their experiences in standardisation education, and connect with us on social media to stay in the loop about new opportunities, training, and standardisation success stories.

The European Standardisation Students' Association 

Do you want to help us co-create a new European student network around standardisation, skills, and career opportunities? 

EDU4 Standards will build the first ever European Standardisation Students' Association (ESSA).

 We are looking for students who are curious, motivated to connect with peers across Europe, and interested in how standards support innovation, industry, and European competitiveness 

The ESSA is open to students matching the following criteria:

  •  📚Area of study: any discipline
  • 🎓Level: Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD (or equivalent)
  • 🧭Where you study: any EU country
  • 🗣️Language: fluent English 

The ESSA will be co-created by students, together with the Horizon Europe project Edu4Standards.eu and CEN and CENELEC . 

The ESSA is expected to be established by Spring 2026. 

Students will have opportunities to take on leading roles within the Association, including: 

  • 🗓️ organisation and governance
  • 🎤 debates and community discussions
  • 🎪 events and networking
  • 📘 capacity building and learning activities
  • 💼 career and employability initiatives
