The third Interactive Conference on Standardisation, organised under the framework of the European research project EDU4Standards.eu, took place with great success. The event, dedicated to advancing the understanding and teaching of standardisation, attracted more than 100 active participants out of over 150 registered attendees from Germany, across Europe, and beyond.
This interactive gathering provided a dynamic platform for educators, researchers, policymakers, and industry experts to exchange experiences and ideas on how to integrate standardisation into education and training. The conference featured a rich programme of panel discussions and interactive sessions highlighting successful case studies, innovative teaching formats, and the role of social sciences, humanities, and law in shaping standardisation education.
The discussions reaffirmed the importance of collaboration in building a shared European approach to standardisation learning, while also underlining the broader societal and policy relevance of the topic.
Following the success of this edition, organisers announced that the next Interactive Conference will take place in February 2027, continuing the series’ mission to strengthen education on standardisation. In the meantime, participants can look forward to another related event planned for 2026 in Berlin.
