Background
Organised by the University of Graz and part of the EDU4Standards initiative, this Summer School focuses on the role of standardisation in the digital transformation of society. It offers an interdisciplinary perspective on how standards shape innovation, technology, policy, and sustainability.
Programme
The summer school on stand-EUVI will start on 15 and 16 September 2025 with a basic module for all participants.
On Monday, 15 September, the participants and trainers will meet at 2 p.m. to get to know each other and start the topic of standardisation and values in a relaxed atmosphere.
On Tuesday, 16 September, the participants will acquire basic knowledge about ‘stand-EUVI’ together with trainers from science and standardisation institutes, which they will actively integrate into their own working environment in the afternoon.
From 17 September, the summer school will continue in parallel in three workshops; these three workshops are aimed at:
- Technology Transfer Officers (led by Katrin Fladischer) → Sign in
Researchers (led by Karl Grün) → Sign in
Teachers (led by Elisabeth Staudegger) → Sign in
In all three slots, concepts are to be developed that could later be rolled out sustainably.
It is important to emphasise, that this summer school is a pilot of the Horizon Europe project EDU4Standards.eu; participation is free of charge.
UNI for LIFE is a cooperation partner here and is interested in taking it over into ‘real operation’ after a successful pilot.
