Short bio
Elena Mocchio is responsible for the Innovation and Development Unit at UNI - Italian Standards Organization.
She is involved in promoting and developing the organization & business along its entire value chain. In particular, she is responsible for engaging industry networks, public administrations, universities, and citizens instandardization activities.
She coordinates the organization & participation in funded research projects (e.g., HORIZON2020) and partnerships with public and private entities. She also manages partnerships with associations and other institutions, as well as Stakeholder Engagement activities to initiate new topics that meet market needs, with particular attention to themes linked to social responsibility, sustainability, gender
equality, and innovation.
She supports UNI Management in implementing the UNI EN ISO 26000 standard within the organization, with a focus on identifying and mapping stakeholders. She has been involved in the development process of UNI/PdR125, which defines the criteria for gender equality certification.
