On Tuesday, the 25th, ARSO hosted its 45th webinar, focusing on Education about Standardisation (EaS) and ISO 21001.
ARSO, Africa's intergovernmental standards body, plays a crucial role in developing tools for standards development, harmonisation, and implementation to enhance Africa’s internal trading capabilities.
As a panelist in the webinar, Knut Blind (Fraunhofer ISI), coordinator of EDU4Standards.eu, delivered a presentation to over 160 ASRO members: "Education in the 21st Century: Bringing Standardization in University Curricula and Effective Education about Standardisation (EaS) in the context of European Union EDU4Standards - EU project".
He discussed the integration of standardisation into university curricula and its importance within the EU project. Blind also outlined ARSO's potential contributions, including increasing EDU4Standards' visibility, achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), representing stakeholders in webinars and events, promoting through social media, and fostering partnerships with African universities.
