Description of the projects
INSTAR is focused on shaping international standards for advanced technologies to ensure global interoperability and security. The project aims to enhance Europe's strategic autonomy by influencing global standards in key technological domains such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), and quantum technologies.
Connection to Edu4standards
Collaboration has included joint visibility and co-branding in cross-project events, e.g. the “Women in ICT Standardisation” webinar series or the GISC 2025 Conference in Seoul. EDU4Standards uses this synergy to integrate INSTAR’s technology focus (AI, cybersecurity, quantum, etc.) into teaching examples and discussions on international standardisation.
