The digital transition has accelerated in recent years and this includes achieving secure and sustainable digital infrastructures and services through use of different software solutions.
ICT standards and their implementation by sustainable software projects can effectively address lock-in challenges, and also achieve interoperability and long life-cycles for IT systems. In particular, Free and Open Source Software, often referred to as FOSS, can contribute to avoidance of lock-in effects, and promotion of interoperable and long-term sustainable IT systems.
The Women in ICT Standardisation webinar is back for its 5th edition, bringing together leading voices in the field of European standardisation. This year, EDU4Standards and StandICT.eu are proud to join forces with key EU-funded projects, ELASTIC (SNS JU funded project), , CYBERSTAND.eu, SEEBLOCKS.eu alongside the Women in Telecommunications and Research (WiTaR) working group of the 6G-IA.
The EDU4Standards.eu Consortium is proposing a new CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA) to innovate how standardization is taught in Europe.
More precisely, the goal of this CWA is to formalise the teaching methods and content developed within EDU4Standards, providing a framework for embedding standardisation education into academic programs.
This EDU4Standards webinar introduces the brand-new Teacher Support Tool — a practical, always in progress, resource designed to help educators bring standardisation into the classroom.
The tool provides adaptable content, teaching guidance, and real-life examples to support your curriculum development and engage students with the role of standards in today’s world. The tool is intended to be further co-developed with interested teachers and educators.
Who should attend?
The EDU4Standards Consortium is delighted to invite you to the next EDU4Standards webinar "Shaping the Academic Standards Days: Value, Impact and Best Practices", May 14, 14:30-15:30 (CEST).
